Woodworking 101

Duration: 1 day per week over 6 weeks.

Skills Covered:  This introductory course is designed to teach participants the characteristics of wood, plan and prep., and fundamental skills of woodworking.  Throughout the six-week period, students will also gain hands-on experience with both power tools and hand tools, learning safe essential operations performed on wood.

Project:  By the end of the course, students will complete a decretive end grain cutting board.

Class Size: Limited to 10 students per class.  Minimum age 18 years old.

Class FAQ:

• Students will have access to all tools required for this class, all materials will be provided.
• Taking note is a good thing, along with sketches, so bring a notebook and pencil.
• You'll be in a working shop, so dress expecting to get some sawdust on your clothing, with no dangling clothing or jewelry. 
• Plan to attend all classes, we do not offer make-up sessions at this point or refunds for missed classes.
• If you need to cancel, you must notify us before class starts. You will receive credit towards another class or time.  Once the class has started no refunds or credit will be given.
