Our Philosophy

There’s something incredibly rewarding about building something with your own hands and feeling proud of what you’ve made. We’re creating a professional woodshop where that experience is available to everyone—from curious beginners and hobbyists to seasoned woodworkers.

Our shop will feature top-of-the-line tools, hands-on classes for all skill levels, and flexible memberships—including 24-hour access—so you can create on your own schedule. Most importantly, we’re building a welcoming, inspiring community where people can connect, learn, and grow together.

Tim Stone - Owner

As an IT management professional, I thrive on aligning technology with business goals through strategic planning, effective crisis management, and strong team collaboration. I take pride in turning challenges into opportunities for growth while fostering a positive, motivated work environment.

Lately, I’ve found a new passion in woodworking. There’s something deeply rewarding about the hands-on process and the satisfaction of bringing a project to life—much like the sense of accomplishment I aim for in my work in IT.

Fred Kaiser - Owner

A lifelong resident of Crystal Lake, Fred brings a rich background in both education and craftsmanship. Before retiring from his career as a physical education teacher and coach at Lundahl Middle School, he channeled his energy into one of his passions—most recently through his woodworking business, Kaiser Fine Woodworking & Design.

Fred first met Tim while working on a custom project for his office. When the idea of opening a shared woodshop came up, it felt like a natural fit. Combining his love for woodworking with his passion for teaching, Fred is excited to help others discover the creativity and satisfaction that comes from working with their hands.
