Finishes 101: Types and Applications

Duration: 1 classes - 3 hours.

Course Overview:  The finish on a piece is just as important as the piece itself.  Unfortunately there is not one finish that does it all.  We'll get into the different types of finishes (water based, oil, hard wax, polyurethane, & more), their uses, and how to apply them.  Finish your next woodworking project with confidence applying the finish that will make it stand out and feel great.

Class Size: Limited to 15 students per class.  Minimum age 18 years old.

Class FAQ:

• Taking note is a good thing, along with sketches, so bring a notebook and pencil.
• You'll be in a working shop, so dress expecting to get some sawdust on your clothing, with no dangling clothing or jewelry. 
• Plan to attend all classes, we do not offer make-up sessions at this point or refunds for missed classes.
• If you need to cancel, you must notify us before class starts. You will receive credit towards another class or time.  Once the class has started no refunds or credit will be given.
